About Me
I did my undergraduate studies at Northern Michigan University, located in Michigan's Upper Peninsula right on the coast of Lake Superior. I graduated in 2018 with bachelor's degrees in mathematics and chemistry.
As a graduate student at Michigan State, I was involved with the MSU chapter of the Association for Women in Mathematics (AWM) and Graduate Women in Science (GWIS). As part of the GWIS executive board I chaired the 2022 Girls' Math and Science Day at MSU, a community STEM event designed to excite middle school girls about science and mathematics.
Currently, I served as the treasurer for the MSU Graduate Employees Union (GEU) which is bargaining a new contract this year that includes a livable wage, affordable healthcare, and just working conditions. For more information about the labor rights of teaching assistants at MSU and ongoing campaigns, please visit geuatmsu.org.
In my free time I enjoy baking, hanging out with my cats Fitzwilliam Darcy (rear) and Charles Bingley (front) and solving the New York Times daily crossword.
